Icone will be present at some of the most creative installations revolving around Milan Design Week.
Via Tortona’s Fuorisalone is one of the most vibrant and innovative epicenters of the entire Milanese design week this year, scheduled for April 15-21.
Fuorisalone offers an eclectic mix of events and installations that go beyond the traditional boundaries of furniture design, embracing sectors such as automotive, technology, telecommunications, art, fashion, and food. In 2024, Icone will also be part of this celebration of creativity and innovation, with a presence in two special locations: Archiproducts Milan and Superstudio Più.
Archiproducts Milano is a cutting-edge co-networking platform located in Milan at Via Tortona 31. It is dedicated to facilitating connections between architects and companies for designing, building, and furnishing. This space, conceived by art director Enzo Maiorano in collaboration with Studiopepe, functions both as a showroom and a design center, offering an environment where physical and virtual experiences in design merge.
Spanning two floors and 600 square meters, Archiproducts Milan is annually renewed with the contribution of 65-70 partner companies, transforming it into a place where furniture, lighting, and advanced technologies are displayed.
Besides serving as a showroom, it hosts events, workshops, and exhibitions, becoming a point of reference for design professionals. Its strategic location in Via Tortona makes Archiproducts Milano a central hub for the sector, attractive to architects, designers, and other professionals. Its promotion through the Archiproducts network ensures wide international visibility, with the peculiarity of offering a ‘phygital’ experience, that is, physical and digital at the same time.
In this particular ecosystem of design, innovation, and networking, a new glass version of the ‘Lama’ lamp designed for Icone by Giulio Cappellini and Leonardo Talarico will be displayed throughout 2024.
The Superdesign Show at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona 27, curated by Gisella Borioli with Giulio Cappellini as the artistic director, is an event that brings together 11 nations and over 80 companies in an exhibition of almost 40 innovations. This year’s theme, Thinking different – everything everywhere everyone, invites overcoming conventional boundaries to imagine new solutions for domestic, urban, and social spaces.
The event is characterized by its diversity and the use of advanced technologies, offering a platform where bold and contemporary ideas meet, promoting revisited traditions, virtual realities, humanized technologies, and a respectful approach towards nature and sustainability.
The Icone lamps selected to be part of this special appointment are Bolla and Lama, which will be displayed throughout the duration of Design Week 2024.
