What is your approach to the light? Have you designed a series of lamps, how do you see them as protagonists in the interior furnishings?

My first project that went into production was a lamp. So for me it’s a good luck charm.

Around today I see very technical lamps and perhaps this is due to the fact that there is a problem related to construction. If we notice, the houses are getting smaller and smaller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In large markets, such as China, an average house is 60\/70 square meters and 3-4 people live. So going to insert a decorative lamp still limits the space, because the decorative lamp has a certain size and a certain volume.

Today’s very small houses limit the space inside for lamps. It is no coincidence that at the Salone del Mobile 2019, in many stands that previously also made decorative lamps we saw extremely thin and minimal lighting systems, perhaps often recessed into the ceiling or walls, which give a very technical and qualitatively valid light. , however, they are invisible.

Decorative lighting in this world is relegated to that type of architecture, those architectural operations that today are for the few, because there are fewer and fewer houses of 200 square meters. Today, going to put an Arco lamp inside a 70 square meter apartment is a bit difficult. This in my opinion is the future of lamps.

According to what you said, you probably find yourself quite there by browsing the Icone catalog. Beyond the use of materials, the projects of Icone are all always often integrated into the architecture and in any case with a very subtle, almost minimal sign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, it is. My favorite is Saggina, but there are many others too. They are so minimal and still make quality light without going to dirty an environment. Often you want to decorate, but you can end up distorting an environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing we try to do in Icone is to keep the object very pure and then work on the materials. Different colors and finishes, different materials, can give very different aspects to the same object. I always say that the same lamp if you see it black and white has one effect, if you see it in bronze or gold it has another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your plans for the future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many, some are related to the car world, but we are also working on a lamp, perhaps to be proposed to Icone for his catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
