Next Place Hotel: lighting as a sensory experience at Milan Design Week

Icone Luce al Next Place Hotel

From April 7 to 13, 2025, during Milan Design Week, Via Savona 35 will host Next Place Hotel, an immersive installation that redefines the concept of hospitality through design, technology, and sustainability. Curated by Giulio Cappellini, this project creates fluid and interconnected spaces that welcome a selection of renowned international brands and designers. Icone Luce will be present with a selection of lamps that seamlessly integrate into the concept of this hybrid and multisensory experience.

A Hotel beyond the boundaries of function and aesthetics

Next Place Hotel is a laboratory of ideas for the contemporary hospitality sector. No longer rigid spaces, but environments designed to accommodate multiple functions, where design, art, and technology coexist harmoniously. Giulio Cappellini’s vision for this installation transforms the hotel into a sequence of monochromatic spaces, where light becomes the central element of the sensory experience.

Icone Luce’s lighting pieces will be featured in various spaces within the installation—including the Lounge, Courtyard, and Restaurant area—highlighting the versatility and aesthetic research behind the collection. Among the showcased models:

Lama, in its floor-standing version with a white glass diffuser—an icon of essential design, blending lightness and scenic presence.

NoName, the modular lighting system designed by Cappellini & Talarico, conceived to adapt to any context with customizable geometric compositions.

Ciondolo, a graphic and minimalist suspension lamp, perfectly balancing form and function.

Masai, inspired by the warrior tradition of Africa, featuring reflected light that creates a refined atmosphere.

Salsola, an organic presence, ideal for both indoor and outdoor environments.

A journey through light and material

Icone Luce’s lamps will not simply serve as lighting elements but will become an integral part of a visual and tactile narrative. From the welcoming Lounge to the Restaurant area, passing through the Courtyard and the Wellness Area, each space will be a contemporary interpretation of hospitality, where light shapes the environment and interacts with furniture, surfaces, and colors carefully selected by Cappellini.

Among the prestigious brands featured in this installation alongside Icone: Technogym, Ravak, Canon, Dieffebi, Flaminia, Presotto, Olmar, Stile, Ton, Artelinea, Caleffi, Xfire, VDA Telkonet.

An event not to be missed

Next Place Hotel will not only be an installation but also a cultural hub, where architects, designers, and industry professionals will engage in discussions on key topics for the future of hospitality. The program includes talks with international experts and exclusive events, such as DesigNight, one of the most anticipated gatherings of Milan Design Week.

Icone Luce invites you to Via Savona 35 in Milan to discover a new way of experiencing light in the world of hospitality.
